Mal Blechl, a participant in a national clinical trial for peripheral arterial disease (PAD), is the speaker at the next Better Breathers’ Club meeting at 1 p.m., Monday, Nov. 10. The club meets in the cardiac rehabilitation classroom of St. John’s Hospital-Lebanon Outpatient Center, 331 Hospital Drive, Suite B.
Blechl will discuss the events prior to the research study, the methods used and the results. PAD is associated with pains and cramping in the legs which worsens when walking. Questions regarding PAD are welcomed at the meeting.
The club is designed to help those living with pulmonary disease, but is open to anyone in the community. The Better Breathers’ Club is sponsored by the American Lung Association and St. John’s Hospital – Lebanon. Refreshments will be served. No reservations are required.
